Once the digitizing software is used to scan the original, the operator must manipulate the image in the embroidery digitizing software to tell the embroidery machine how to sew the stitch. The scanned image is now processed by digitizing software to the many stitches required to sew the image. When using embroidery digitizing software, the operator can decide which thread colors to use, such as special threads for metal, nylon, cotton, silk, etc., and their position in the digitized pattern. They also determined the necessary parameters for sewing on the cloth. Some may be very dense, or very light, with few stitches to make the design. As an example, the operator can also determine what kind of stitching is made, such as zigzag or cross-stitch.
